Essential Learning Targets

Carlisle Community Schools is committed to high levels of learning for all students. To ensure success for each student, Carlisle has identified Essential Learning Targets (ELTs) which represent the minimum knowledge and skills expected for all students to be successful beyond high school.  ELTs are comprehensive and reflect the learning outcomes intended by the Iowa Core Curriculum for literacy, mathematics, science and social studies. ELTs for other curricular areas are aligned with national standards. 

Supporting standards supplement ELTs, providing Carlisle students with the basis for rich and robust learning opportunities throughout each content or subject area.
