BrieAnn Eginoire - HS Science

Welcome to Mrs. Eginoire's science website!

I have been teaching science at Carlisle High School since 2005.  I currently teach three classes: Biology, Anatomy, and Biomedical Science.   I received a B.S. in Unified Science Education from Northwest Missouri State University and my Master's degree in Education from Viterbo University.  I also serve as the advisor for Best Buddies and Prom.  My favorite thing about being a teacher is that I get to interact with so many awesome students every day!

About my classes:

Biology - Freshmen and sophomore students will enjoy individual and collaborative activities that center around living organisms and the way they impact the environment.  First semester will focus on energy and ecology, while second semester is centered around human genetics.

Anatomy - Junior and senior students will study body parts and how they work through the various systems of the body.  This college level course will enable students to develop an understanding of the relationships between the structures and function of the human body.  The year concludes with the dissection of a heart and a fetal pig.

Biomedical Science - Students begin the year analyzing the crime scene of a fictional woman.  Throughout the course, students will sequentially piece together evidence found in her medical history and autopsy report to ultimately determine the cause of her death.  Various health conditions will be explored including heart disease, diabetes, sickle cell disease, hypercholesterolemia, and infectious diseases.

When I am not at school, my husband and I keep very busy with our three daughters. Together, we love to travel and explore new activites!
