Mrs. Martin's 5th Grade Class

Hello and welcome to fifth grade!  My name is Mrs. Martin, and this is my fourth year teaching.  I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from the University of Northern Iowa in December 2018.  Fifth grade was my favorite grade in elementary school, the year I found my love for reading, and the year I met my best friend (we are still best friends to this day).  Last year I welcomed the cutest baby named Wells into the world, and he will turn one in November. In my free time, I love to spend time with my family, friends, and sweet puppy, Theo.  I also enjoy reading, traveling, spending time outside, and anything related to animals/the zoo.

As a teacher, I hope to instill a love for learning in all of my students and help them grow academically, socially, and emotionally. I look forward to building quality relationships with each and every student that I work with. Teaching is truly the greatest profession, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to work at Hartford. I cannot wait to make this a wonderful year!
