About Mr. Carver

I am proud to have worked for the Carlisle Community School District for my entire teaching career. I first started as a 5th grade teacher in 2006 and spent 8 years in that position. In 2014, I started in a newly created position that we first called K-5 Technology, but the next year we changed it to K-5 Computer Science to better reflect the real world application of our work. I love working with students and teaching them how they can use computers to enhance their learning!

I grew up in the small town of Shueyville, Iowa, which is in eastern Iowa between Cedar Rapids and Iowa City. I graduated from Cedar Rapids Prairie High School and went to Simpson College in Indianola to learn to become a teacher. I had a lot of fun at Simpson and was able to serve as Student Body President, Campus Activities Board President, and I also started working as the public address announcer at sporting events. I still do the PA today for Simpson for the volleyball, basketball, and football teams.

This is my family. My wife is Rebecca and we have two sons, Ben and Roy. We love playing outside, going on bike rides, and traveling to see our families in Iowa and Nevada (the state).
