This is my 22nd year teaching High School Special Education. I have been at Carlisle High School for 12 years. Previously I taught at Southeast Warren for 10 years and was head Boys Basketball & Golf Coach and Assistant Softball Coach.
I graduated from Northwest Missouri State University in December of 1993 with a degree in Physical Education K-12, Athletic Coaching K-12, a minor in Health 5-12 and received my Special Education Endorsement from Grandview College in 1999.
I have also coached many sports over the last 25 years at the high school and middle school level including basketball, baseball, softball and golf. I also had the opportunity to coach both of my kids at the little league, park & recreation, IBA and USSSA level. It's an incredible feeling to be able to coach your own kids and see them grow up and have all those memories!
I am a husband and father of a 18 year old daughter who will be a freshman at NWMSU and a 16 year old son who will be a junior at IHS and we live in Indianola. If you don't find me at CHS you can find me at Scheels, as I have a part-time job in the Youth Shoe Department. When I'm not teaching and working at Scheels I enjoy spending time with family, coaching my son in baseball, bowling & golfing. I also have a passion for collecting sports memorabilia with many autographs, golf balls, framed pictures and bobble-heads on my wall. In the Fall you can find me at Kinnick Stadium as I'm an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan and love watching the Hawks play football and basketball. I'm also a huge Chicago Cubs fan and last year was the best year ever to be a Cubs fan!
