Hello, Welcome to Carlisle Elementary!! I am one of the K-3 Reading Interventionist here at Carlisle Elementary. I help support students in and out of the classroom in a small group setting. My main goal is to help students develop solid foundational skills to make them successful readers. I LOVE my job and seeing students grow with their love of reading. One of the best things about my position at school is that I serve small groups of students and am able to develop a relationship with many students from different grade levels.
Here's a little bit about me! I am originally from Emmetsburg, GO E-HAWKS! I graduated from Buena Vista University with my education degree and reading endorsement. After that I completed my Master's degree in education from Viterbo University. I am proud to say I have taught in Carlisle for 18 years! I have been a Reading Interventionist for the past 13 years and before that I was a 4th grade teacher for 5 years.
My husband, Noah, and I have been married for 12 years and we live in Carlisle. We have 2 children Ella(5th grade) and Max(2nd grade). We are proud to be part of the Carlisle community!! In our spare time we enjoy taking our kids to their sporting practices and events, being outside in the yard, cheering on the Iowa Hawkeye's, being together as a family, traveling to see our family and spending time with our friends here in Carlisle.
