FUNDRAISING
This is possibly the most important committee - without proper fundraising, there will be no After Prom! Members should be able and willing to think outside the box for fundraising ideas. They should be willing to follow up on leads and coordinate volunteers. Committee members need to be able to work as a team and make sure at least one member is present at each fundraising event to lead volunteers.
DECORATIONS
Committee members will come up with theme ideas and plan decorations for Grand March and After Prom while staying within a budget. Committee members should expect to design/build/decorate some existing supplies and to create an efficient plan for set up and tear down.
FOOD
This committee will determine food needs for Fun Night and for After Prom and will secure donations from businesses and the community. Members should also plan on setting up/tearing down for Fun Night concessions as well as After Prom food, planning and setting up decorations, and keeping the food stocked and safe to eat.
TUXEDO RENTAL
These members need to be organized, quick thinkers who can work as a team. Tux rental is fast-paced and the committee will also need to keep the boys moving through the line as well as collecting payments and make sure all tuxedos are turned in on time for Hy-Vee pickup.
REGISTRATION
The committee will create the registration form for After Prom, collect payments, and compile the list of student volunteers who have earned free entry to After Prom and who get Grand March priority. Members will also be responsible for the registration table at After Prom, including decorating and staffing the table for checking in students.
PRIZES
Members of this committee will work with local businesses around Carlisle, Altoona, and South Des Moines to secure a reasonable number of prizes to be distributed throughout After Prom. The committee will also determine how best to award prizes and how to notify students when they win.
