Mrs. Sinclair - TAG
Welcome! This is my 17th year of teaching and my 6th year in the Carlisle Community School District. During the 2023-24 school year, I will be serving as the 8th - 12th grade talented and gifted teacher. My focus will be PLC question #4 - How will we extend the learning for students who are already proficient?
I am originally from Wisconsin, but moved to Iowa to attend Drake University. I am a three-time Drake graduate with a bachelor's degree in insurance and management, an MBA, and a master's degree in education with endorsements in reading, English language arts, social studies, and gifted & talented education. Currently, I am working on my doctorate in Educational Leadership at Drake. I was named the 2016 Living History Farms Teacher of the Year and the 2018 Iowa Council for the Social Studies Elementary Teacher of the Year.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, hiking, kayaking, and fishing. My husband, Kevin, and I live in Carlisle. We have 6 children and 3 grandchildren. Our family consists of 4 generations of Carlisle Wildcats, so we are proud to call Carlisle our home.
