World History (Red Day - 2nd Period)-Buell Fall 2020 Assignments

Complete the Graphic Organizer.
Although it is titled as a KEY, only the first column is filled in - we did that together in class.
You need to find specific examples in the readings that display the methods of control used by a single nation's Monarchs/Kings etc. during the age of Absolutism. Absolute leaders in Spain, Russia, France, and Prussia/Austria, used these ways to maintain total control and absolute power over all of the people under their power.

Choose the nation you want to read about in the text and fill in one column with examples from that nation.

Examples found for Spain on pp. 504-508, France pp. 510-514, Prussia/Austria pp. 525-529, Russia pp. 530-535) Use ONE nation to complete one column.

You do not need to complete this if you got a hard copy. I just wanted to post it here as well for reference.

Essential Idea or Question of Unit 3: “Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely”

Today, answer these 3 questions:
What is Government, where did it come from, and how should it work?

If you have colored pencils, markers, or crayons, make sure you bring them to class today.

2) Work on Judaism book assignment (Pgs. 57-60) -- Book Pages attached
3) Watch My Life, My Religion over Judaism -- Fill in cheat sheet from reading and video
4) Fill in Cheat Sheet and Dividing/Binding Chart before you leave.

2) Discuss Dividing and Binding from Judaism
3) Judaism Extremism Article and Video
4) If time, add to dividing and binding chart

Plan for a Writing CFA on Friday. It won't be anything that surprises you. We will use some time in class on Friday to prepare you for the type of CFA.
