LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL DISMISSAL TIMES
Dismissal times have been adjusted for the last week of school for students in grades K-11th grades. The district had built in a buffer of two hours when the calendar was amended to make up days lost to weather days. The changes are due to the district meeting the state required 1080 instructional hours. The last day of school, Thursday May 30th will be a 1:30 dismissal time. Below is the dismissal schedule:
School Board Approves 2019-20 School Calendar
The Carlisle School Board approved the school calendar for the 2018-19 school year at its monthly meeting on Monday, March 11th.
The school calendar was developed by the district’s Calendar Committee comprised of parents and district staff. Under the calendar, Superintendent Bryce Amos recommended to the board, classes will start August 23 for grades 1-12, with Kindergarten & Kindergarten Prep starting on August 28 and Preschool on August 30. Kindergarten and Preschool have later start dates to allow teachers to conduct home visit with parents prior to start of the school year. The last day of school for grades K-11 will be Friday, May 22. High School Graduation Ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, May 17.
The district will continue with early out dismissals every Wednesday at 1:30 to allow for professional development and planning for teachers and staff.
