The Carlisle Community School District (“District”) is requesting bids from those persons interested in purchasing, removing, and relocating the structure(s) (house and/or garage) currently located on the property locally known as 190 School Street, Carlisle, Iowa that will be available on or before September 13th.
The Carlisle Community School District School Board has named Erik Anderson as the district’s next superintendent.
Anderson currently serves as superintendent of the Colfax-Mingo Community School District, where he has worked to unite the district under a systems approach that is focused on quality efforts and communication. During his tenure he successfully passed a bond issue that led to various facility upgrades. The Carlisle Community School District (“District”) is requesting bids from those persons interested in leasing the residential house located at 190 SCHOOL ST, CARLISLE, IA 50047. The leasing period will be from May 13, 2022 – September 13, 2022.
The 2022-23 Carlisle School Calendar was reviewed and approved by the Carlisle School Board on Wednesday, March 23, 2022.
Please take a few minutes to share your feedback regarding what desired qualifications are most important for the superintendent position. This will help ensure the new hire is a good fit for both the school district and communities.
The Carlisle School Board conducted interviews with three superintendent search firms at a Special School Board meeting on March 7th. The district heard proposals from the following search firms:
• Grundmeyer Leader Search
• McPherson & Jacobson, LLC
• Ray & Associates, Inc
The Board unanimously voted to select Grundmeyer Leader Seach to lead the effort to search for the next superintendent of the district.
The process of selecting the district’s next superintendent will begin this month. Stakeholder input will be collected from various groups, including staff, parents, students, and community members. This input will be collected and used by the search firm to identify the desired qualities for the new superintendent. Grundmeyer Leader Search is confident in meeting the district’s goal of naming the next superintendent during the month of April.

At a Special School Board Meeting on March 8th, the school board appointed Amy Ramsey to fill the Director District 3 vacancy. Ramsey was sworn in at the Special School Board meeting. We would like to welcome our new board member and thank her for standing up and helping to lead our local public schools.
