Ms. Schooler

My name is Rahmana Schooler. The 2020-2021 school year will be my 5th year teaching Art and 4th year of teaching at Carlisle Elementary. I graduated High School from Carlisle in 2008 and I am so excited to be back home. GO CATS! I attended Graceland University in Lamoni, IA and graduated in 2013. Currently studying to obtain my Master's in Art Education through University of Northern Iowa. Before teaching at Carlisle Community Schools, I have worked at the Indianola Child Care Program, Wildcat ABC and HyVee Floral. I also had the opportunity to serve as a Para-professional at the Upper Elementary and Middle School in the Carlisle District and taught art at the Southwest Valley High School.

I love to travel and see new places, I had the opportunity to travel to England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland and previously Italy and Greece! When I am not flying or road tripping across the States, I love spending time with friends and family, attending live music and enjoying the outdoors; which include gardening, camping, kayaking or hiking. This last summer I also built a 12ft x 8ft greenhouse.

If you can imagine it, I want to try and create it! I love making art in many ways. I also have a collection of too many art supplies. If I can help make the world a more beautiful place and share that love of creation with my students then I know I am doing my job. I am excited to be able to watch my students to grow their art abilities and use their imagination every day. I can't wait to get messy and create many artworks this year!
