Hello! I’m Rahmana Schooler. The 2017-18 school year will be my 2nd year teaching Art and 1st year of teaching at Carlisle Elementary. I graduated High School from Carlisle in 2008 and I am so excited to be back home. GO CATS! I attended Graceland University in Lamoni, IA and graduated in 2013. Before teaching at Carlisle Community Schools, I have worked at the Indianola Child Care Program, Wildcat ABC and HyVee Floral. I also had the opportunity to serve as a Para-professional at the Upper Elementary and Middle School in the Carlisle District and taught art at the Southwest Valley High School.
I love to travel and see new places, this last summer I had the opportunity to travel to Italy and Greece to visit the major cities and landmarks below are some of my photos of the places I was able to see and the food I was able to eat! When I am not flying or road tripping across the States, I love spending time with friends and Family, attending live music and enjoying the outdoors; which include gardening, camping, kayaking or hiking.
If you can imagine it, I want to try and create it! I love making art in many ways. I also have a collection of too many art supplies. Oh! No such thing! If I can help make the world a more beautiful place and share that love of creation with my students then I know I am doing my job.
I LOVE teaching Art to all ages! I am excited to be able to watch my students to grow their art abilities and use their imagination every day. I can't wait to get messy and create many artworks this year!
